Absalum was born on January 1st, 1787 in Berkeley County, Virginia.1   Absalum's father was Evert VanVickle and his mother was <Unknown>. He had five brothers named Evert, Abraham, Robert, Aaron and Daniel.  He died at the age of 76 on April 5th, 1863 in Pickaway County, Ohio.  He was buried at the Presbyterian Cemetery, Commercial Point, Pickaway County, Ohio.2 2
