Albert was born on February 24th, 1847 in Voßbarg, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.1   Albert's father was Eilert Eylers Rossmueller and his mother was Abbe Janssen Goosmann.  His paternal grandparents were Eilert Eilerts Rossmüller and Trientje Alberts. He had a brother and two sisters, named Eilert, Meta and Katherine.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 78 on December 4th, 1925 in Pickrell, Gage County, Nebraska.  He was buried at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pickrell, Gage County, Nebraska.1 1

Albert and Gretje were married in 1869 in Summerfield, St. Clair County, Illinois.1   They had two sons named Eliert and John.
