Gretje was born on April 11th, 1847 in Germany.1   She died at the age of 44 on December 4th, 1891 in Pickrell, Gage County, Nebraska.  She was buried at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pickrell, Gage County, Nebraska.1 1
