David was born on June 21st, 1939 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.  David's father was John Albert Gripka and his mother was Mary Wagner.  His paternal grandparents were August A Gripka and Martha Bruenn.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 71 on December 21st, 2010.





David's family

David and Sharon were married in a religious ceremony in February 1962 in Saint Louis, Missouri.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Mark, Gilbert, Cynthia and Tamar.
