James Finney was born on March 13th, 1832 in Milton, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, USA.1   James Finney's father was John Clark and his mother was Margaret Maxwell.  His paternal grandfather was John Clark; his maternal grandparents are William Maxwell and Jane Bolles. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert F, John Clarence, Thomas J., William M., Alexander, Samuel and Sarah.  He died at the age of 91 on April 17th, 1923 in Geneseo, Henry, Illinois, USA.  He was buried on April 19th, 1923 in Oakwood Cemetery.2 2
