His paternal grandparents were Samuel Rankin and Azubah Whitcomb. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John Peter, Albert H., Thankful, Ellen Ella and Rhoda Adelaide. He died due to Y at the age of 64 on October 24th, 1903 in Pleasant Hill, Oglethorpe, Georgia, United States. He was buried in Marietta, Georgia.2 2 -
