Frederick Arthur was born on July 16th, 1873 in Dundee, Monroe, Michigan, United States.1  Frederick Arthur's father was John Peter Rankin and his mother was Lucy Matida Brown.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Rankin Jr and Rachel Sutherland; his maternal grandparents were George Brown and Electa W. Munson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Ozro E., Carlton, Ernest D., Cora G. and Minnie Bell.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 42 on October 15th, 1915 in Youngstown, Mahoning, Ohio, United States.  He was buried in Dundee, Monroe, Michigan, United States.2 3
