Minerva was born on October 12th, 1832 in Ohio - Ross County.1   Minerva's father was John Moffitt II and her mother was Maraget Dawson.  Her maternal grandparents were John Andrew Dawson and Margaret Littel. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joshua, Alonzo, Hugh, William, John, Matilda, Louisa and Mary Mariah.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 73 on May 30th, 1906 in Chillicothe, Peoria, Illinois, United States.  She was buried in Chillicothe City Cemetery.1 1
