William Francis Fleming

William was born on September 17th, 1869.  William's father was William Francis Fleming and his mother was Ellen Geraghty.  His maternal grandparents were Daniel Geraghty and Sarah Finnegan. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Daniel, James, Sarah, Susan, Norah and Nellie.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died due to a medical problem at the age of 71 on May 25th, 1941.

  Died of cerebral thrombosis.

• General Notes

  Born in San Francisco. He was a sargeant in Company B of the 14th Infantry of the U.S. Army. William lived in 142 Panaderos, Santa Ana Philippines. After an honorable discharge from the US military, William worked at Quarter Master Pier 1 in Manila. William died in Manila. His remains were transferred to Colma Cemetery.
  
  William commanded a platoon during the battle of Zapote Bridge in the boundary of Province of Cavite. He was awarded a medal for it. (source: Auntie Nora).
