Susan's father was William Francis Fleming and her mother was Ellen Geraghty.  Her maternal grandparents were Daniel Geraghty and Sarah Finnegan. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Daniel, James, Sarah, Norah and Nellie.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died  due to Convulsions at just 14 days old on March 21st, 1875 in San Francisco, CA, USA.¹
