Maria was born in November 1887 in Fazenda Novo Mundo.  Maria's father was Aurélio de Souza Monteiro de Barros and her mother was Francisca (Chiquinha) Domingues Monteiro de Barros.  Her paternal grandparents were Julio César de Miranda Monteiro de Barros and Emiliana de Souza Breves. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Júlio César, Renato, Thiers, Ed, Marco Aurélio, Sebastião, Raul, Emiliana, Antonieta, Aurélia and Maria da Conceição.  She died at 1 months old on December 11th, 1887.  She was buried on December 12th, 1887 in Angustura; MG.
