György was born on April 3rd, 1756 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1   His godfather was Krajcsovics Márton and his godmother was Katalin.  György's father was Peskó István and his mother was Benkovszky Mária.  His paternal grandparents were Peskó János and Maslansky (Maszansky) Katalin; his maternal grandparents were Benkovszky Ádám and Bozik Ilona. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Mihály, József, András, Judit, Mária and Ilona.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven known children. He had three half-brothers named János, Márton and István.  He died  due to kolera at the age of 75 on September 4th, 1831 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1
