István was born on August 19th, 1725 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1   His godfather was Benkovszky Jakab.  István's father was Peskó János and his mother was Maslansky (Maszansky) Katalin. He had two brothers and six sisters, named János, Pál, Mária, Anna, Ilona, Éva, Mária and Katalin.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine known children.  He died at the age of 36 on August 8th, 1762 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1
