Picture Notes This is the Edward and Ellen (Gorham)  Brink first home.  The picture was taken in the early 1940's.  The home was located at the East end of Lynde Street and Elm Street, Old Saybrook, CT.  The home was torn down in 2016 to make way for commercial development.

Edward was born on March 5th, 1918.  Edward's father was Charles Jacob Brink and his mother was Anna  Blumberg.  His paternal grandparents were Brinkus (Brinke) and UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Blumberg and  Brink  (Brinke). He had two sisters named Elizabeth and Hermina.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury at the age of 26 on August 5th, 1944.
