Mr Thomas A Mayes

Thomas was born in December 1854 in Pennsylvania.¹ Thomas' father was Mr Mayes and his mother was Mrs Sarah J. His maternal grandparents were Mr and Mrs. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hasson, John, Richard and Ella. He was the second oldest of the five known children.

- Found in the 1880 Census living in Edingburgh/Beaver, Clarion County, PA with wife Annie e. (b. 1857) and son Warren (b. 1880). Occupoation is listed as hauling boilers.
  
  Found in 1900 US Census Living in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County, PA. Living with wife Anna E. (b. 1-1857) and children:
  
  i. Marvin G (b. 12-1878) married Mina M. <unknown> in 1901. Had son Floyd T (b. 1902) and daughter Mary G (b. 1905)
  ii. Bertha E (b. 4-1887)
  ii. Laura K (b. 2-1895)
  
  Found in 1910 US Census living in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County, PA. Living with wife Anna E. and daughter Laura K.
  
  Nephew Day T. Vasbinder was living with them also. as well as a border.
  
  Found in the 1920 US Census living in Brookville, Jefferson Township. Was the town's sheriff.

- Thomas' occupation was Farmer in agriculture.
  
  From 1920 his occupation was Sheriff full time in public administration for Town Government, in Brookville. He retired about 1930.
