Grace was born on July 29th, 1892 in Duke Center.¹ Grace's father was Mr Jacob Hall Kahle and her mother was Mrs Sarah Alice Payne. Her paternal grandparents were Mr Jacob R Kahle and Mrs Sarah Ann Carter; her maternal grandparents were Mr and Mrs. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, Arthur, Paul, Edna and Kathrine. She was the fourth oldest of the six children. She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 96 on November 9th, 1988 in New York State.

Father's place of birth was listed as Maine.
