Willie Frederick Belcher

Willie was born on October 21st, 1901 in 4, Hereford Square, High Street, Saltley, Birmingham and his baptism took place on November 3rd, 1901 in St. Saviours Church, Saltley, Birmingham.  Willie's father was Edwin  Vaughan Belcher and his mother is Florence Bayliss.  His paternal grandparents were George  Charles Belcher and Eliza Vaughan. He had a brother and three sisters, named Ted, Agnes, Minnie and Ivy.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died from a stroke at the age of 86 on October 25th, 1987 in Donnington Nursing Home, Birmingham Road, Sutton Coldfield.

  WILLIE FREDERICK BELCHER the second son of Edwin Vaughan and Florence Baylis was born on the 21st of October 1901 at 4, Hereford Square High Street Saltley and was baptised on the 3rd of November 1901 at St. Saviours Church Saltley. During his childhood  and youth he lived with his parents at Hereford Square then 19, Teal Road Saltley and finally  21, Foley Road, Ward End. He married Lillian May Pickett of Cheetham Street, Nechells at St. Clements Church Nechells on the 1st of June 1935. They first took up residence at 87, Foley Road, Ward End. He died at Donnington Nursing Home on the 25th of October 1987 as the result of a Stroke endured the previous year 1986 at his home. His wife Lilian survived him and for a time lived with her son at 78 Heathcroft Road Four Oaks Sutton Coldfield. She became a resident at the White Lodge Nursing Home Streetly and died of breast cancer in 1991.
