Ellen Maria was born in Lot 12 Anglican Church, Port Hill.  Ellen Maria's father was Ambrose Boyle and her mother was Mary Ann Boyle.  Her paternal grandparents are Boyle and Unknown Boyle. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, Isaac, Ambrose, Sarah Jane, Matilda, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Judith, Jane and Elizabeth.  She died in 1940.
