Christoff was born on December 13th, 1864 in Preussen.1   Christoff's father was Johann Pienak and his mother was Regine Jeromin.  His paternal grandparents are Paul Pienak and Esther Skupsch. He had four brothers and a sister, named Friedrich, Gottleib, Curt, Carl and Charlotte.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 2 on November 10th, 1867.
