Yona Elkes

Yona was born in 1937. Yona's father was Yosef Elkes and his mother was Chana Freiman. His paternal grandparents were Moshe Leib Elkes and Leah Pieniek. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Eliezer, Avraham, Sarah, Hadassa, Shoshanah and Leah. He died due to because of difficult conditions en route to Russia. at the age of 3 in 1940 in Russia.¹

- Yona Elkes was born in Pultusk, Poland to Yosef and Khana nee Fraiman. He was a child. Prior to WWII he lived in Pultusk, Poland. During the war was in Pultusk, Poland. Yona perished in the Shoah at the age of 3. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted by his sister Hadassa Bar Chama.
