Clara was born on August 13th, 1844 in Barking Essex and her christening.1   Clara's father was Samuel [Fisherman] Wicks and her mother was Martha Ann Bull.  Her paternal grandparents are Samuel George Wicks and Harriot; her maternal grandparents were Mr Isaac born  Woolwich Kent Bull (Fisherman) and Martha Ann Dunsdon. She had three sisters named Martha, Eliza and Olivia.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died from a heart attack at the age of 79 on June 12th, 1924 at 12 East Av East Ham.  The funeral took place on June 14th, 1924.

Clara and William were married in a religious ceremony on July 4th, 1864 in All Saints West Ham.  They had five sons and five daughters, named Clara, Lost at sea, Charles, Albert, Bonnie, Clara, Annie, Eleanor, Violet and Daisy.
