George was born about 1858 in MARTINS YARD BRAINTREE.  George's father was Thomas Hunnable (B Braintree Silk Weaver) and his mother was Jane Amos (b Coggeshall Silk Weaver).  His maternal grandparents were William Amos (b Coggeshall Silk Weaver) and Martha York (B Gt Cornard Suffolk D Martin Yard Braintree). He had a brother and four sisters, named Walter, Emily, Sarah, Emma and Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the six children.
