Margaret's father was Thomas Cooper (Freedom 1676 Yarmouth Will Cons) and her mother was Elizabeth London.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Cooper (Yarmouth Freedom 1653 Will PCC) and Margaret Albertson (Will 19 May 1684); her maternal grandparents are Thomas London (of Cringleford Gent) and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, Mary, Elizabeth and Ruth.

Margaret and <Unknown> were married in a religious ceremony in 1717 in North Walsham Norfolk.1
