Kate was born about April 1879 in Barking Essex.1   Kate's father was William John Ambrose (K 874 Rippleside) and her mother was Jessie Brewer (K 874 Rippleside).  Her paternal grandfather was Alfred Ambrose and her paternal grandmother is Ann; her maternal grandparents were Esau Brewer (a Groom Glenny Brewery) and Sarah Smith  (Salvation Army BUR K 874). She had six brothers and two sisters, named Norman, Ernest, William, Charles, Arthur, Alfred, Alice and Ada.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died about December 5th, 1952 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on December 10th, 1952 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on December 10th, 1952 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2 2
