Mary was born in 1838 in Missouri. Mary's father was William Goss and her mother was Mary Ann. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Billy, Sarah, Elizabeth and Florence. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 87 in 1925 in Hartshorn, OK.

General Notes
- Mary Louise Goss, bd. 1838, MO., dd. abt 1925, Hartshorn, OK. Her grave is not marked at Sulpher Cemetery, but there is a grave next to William Jasper Taylor and it is believed that she is buried there.
  
  MARY LOUISE GOSS - According to both the 1910 and 1920 census she reported being born in MO. She said her Father was born in KY and her Mother in VA; however her Father was shown as being born in Virginia in both the 1850 and 1860 census. She and Jasper were living in Dow, Pittsburg Co. OK in 1910 according to the census. In that 1910 census there was a Violet Bruton age 8 shown as a member of the household - probably a great granddaughter; however I have no information on her from any other source and have not determined who her parents were. Mary Louise was living in the WF Chandler household in Jan.1920 when the census was taken. Jasper had died in 1918. WF was renting a farm in Crutcho OK (SW of Spencer near the current corner of NE 23rd and Air Depot).

Mary and William were married in a civil ceremony in 1852 in Clay Co., Missouri. They had seven sons and five daughters, named Thomas, Charles, Tobe, Jesse, Joseph, Edgar, William, Minne, Lilly, Lou, Dori and Florence. Minne and Lilly were twins.

  Thomas was born in January 1863. He died at the age of 72 on December 3rd, 1935.

  Charles was born in September 1872 in Missouri. He died in texas.
  
  Tobias (Tobe) Bruton
  Tobias, known as Tobe, was born in September 1872 in Missouri. He died at the age of 72 on July 25th, 1945 in Hartshorn, OK.

  Jesse was born in 1876. He died at the age of 9 in 1885 in Skulleyville, Indian Territory.
  
  Minne Bruton
  Minne was born on June 16th, 1876 in Skulleyville, Indian Territory. She died in Pheonix, AZ.

  Lilly was born on June 16th, 1876 in Skulleyville, Indian Terr. In The Choctaw Nation. She died at the age of 64 on May 24th, 1941.
