Sarah was born in 1900 in Salford, Lancashire, England.  Sarah's father was James RAWLINSON and her mother was Emma CROOK.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles CROOK and Eliza HOLLOWS.  She had three sisters named Eliza, Elizabeth and Lily.  She was the youngest of the four children.
