Elizabeth was born in 1896 in Salford, Lancashire, England.  Elizabeth's father was James RAWLINSON and her mother was Emma CROOK.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles CROOK and Eliza HOLLOWS.  She had three sisters named Eliza, Lily and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
