John CROOKES

John was born in 1807 in Holmesfield, Derbyshire, England. John's father was Elias CROOKES and his mother was Hannah GOODLAD. His maternal grandparents were John SHIRT and Faith GOODLAD. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Paul, William, Elias, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 88 in 1895.
