    According to Bro. Carl Tiedt's A History of St. Joseph Farm, "Brother Paulinus was born on May 1, 1888, five miles north of Montgomery, Indiana, in Davis [sic] County.  At four years of age, he and his family moved near Odwin [sic], Indiana.  He attended school in Regilsville.  He went to Watertown, Wisconsin, in 1916, to beccme a candidate for the Brothers of Holy Cross.  He received the Holy Habit on January 6, 1917, and made perpetual profession on January 23, 1922.  He died at St. Joseph Farm, Granger, Indiana, August 14, 1966.  He was the first one buried in the new Brother's Center, St. Joseph's cemetery at Notre Dame, Indiana, north of the Niles Road, between the University of Notre Dame and St. Mary's College.  ...Brother Paulinus spent all but one year of his religious life at St. Joseph farm."
