DPOB 25 Dec 1896 Warsaw Russia, contact Clara LAUER at 168 Sutter Ave wife.  Employer = Steiner at 337 Grafton St, Kings, NY.  Ht 5'10" wt 202 brn [cf. nat record]/blu complexion light.  Scars on eyebrows and nose.

    U.S. Department of Labor Naturalization Service, Declaration of Intention, No. 139059, Invalid for all purposes seven years after the date hereof.  State of New York, County of Kings.  In the Supreme Court of Kings County.  I, Benjamin Lauer, aged 25 years, occupation Baker, do declare on oath that my personal description is:  Color white, complexion Fair, height 5 feet 10 inches, weight 170 pounds, color of hair Blond, color of eyes Blue, other visible distinctive marks Scar on nose.  I was born in Warsaw Russia on the 25 day of December, anno Domini 1896.  I now reside at 692 Stone Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y.  I emigrated to the United States of America from London England on the vessel St. Lowis [sic; St. Louis]; my last foreign residence was England.  I am married; the name of my wife is Clara; she was born at Roumania and now resides at 692 Stone Ave Brooklyn.  It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to The Present Goverment [sic] of Russia, of whom I am now a subject; I arrived at the port of New York, in the State of New York, on or about the 25 day of March, anno Domini 1905; I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside therein; SO HELP ME GOD.  [signed] Benjamin Lauer, Subscribed and sworn to before me in the office of the Clerk of said Court at Brooklyn, N.Y., this 1 day of May, anno Domini 1922.  William E.
