    BREWER RITES AT LOOGOOTEE:  Mrs. Josephine M. Brewer, 72, Died Sun., Buried Today at St. Mary's
    Loogootee, March 10 - Mrs. Josephine Brewer, 72, wife of James S. Brewer, died at her home at 204 Queen street at 8 AM Sunday.  She had been ill during the last year and was in a serious condition for six weeks before her death.
    She was born in Barr township November 29, 1869, the daughter of George and Martha (Brewer) McAtee, and was married in 1891.  She leaves her husband and the following children:  George T. Brewer and Mrs. Elizabeth Bergstrom of Detroit; William Paul Brewer and Mrs. Beata Beckenbaugh, both of Indianapolis and James A. Brewer of Milan, Michigan.  Three girls are dead.  She leaves a brother Joseph M. McAtee of Missouri and the following sisters:  Mrs. Margaret Gough and Mrs. Susan Livers of Loogootee; Mrs. Ella McGrath of Washington; Mrs. Tillie Moorehead of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Etta Bullock of Bedford.  Seven grandchildren survive.
    Funeral services were held at 9 AM this morning at St. John's Catholic church here with burial in St. Mary's cemetery, Barr township.  The body was at the Norris funeral home until the hour of the services.  [NBM note:]  Josephine Brewer's death is recorded in Martin County.  Born 29 Nov. 1869, died 8 Mch. 1942.  Married James S. Brewer.  Parents:  George McAtee and Martha Brewer.
