Benjamin was born on April 3rd, 1835 in Ballyminta.Birth Notes
Date of Birth = Macosquin Presbyterian Church - baptised on 3rd April 1835. Gives age as 20 in marriage certificate in 1857 = 1837, which is clearly wrong.

Born in Ballyminta. Married from Crossgar. Married in Macosquin Presbyterian Church - marriage certificate in Local Record Office.
BB has now found the immigration records for Benjamin and Jane arriving in the US. They show that he was 24, she was 26, they had sons John aged 2 and Barclay "inft". No sign of poor lil Benjamin; they sailed from Liverpool to New York City aboard the "Beryaman Adams", arriving on 26th May 1860.
BB has also sent me this family in the 1860 New York census. It is worth noting that they are neighbours of two families who were also on the ship when they arrived - Bernard O'Kane and William Gibney.
1870 US Census- Millbury, Worcester, Mass - Benjamin age 33, watchman, born in Ire. Jane age 30, born in Ire. children- Barttel, age 12, Benjamin, age 10, Wm, age 8 and Archable, age 5
1880 US Census Millbury, Worcester, Mass.- Benjamin age 44, stable keeper, born in Ire. both parents born in Ireland. Jane, wife, age 43, born in Ire. both parents born in Ireland. Benjamin, son, age 19, born in Ire. William, age 17, born in Massachusetts, Archibald, age 14, born in Massachusetts.
