John Reid

John was born on July 11th, 1831 in St. Quivox and his baptism took place there on July 24th, 1831.^1 2

John's father was James Reid and his mother was Elizabeth Bell.  His paternal grandparents were Adam Reid and Catharine Fulton. He had five brothers and six sisters, named George, Adam, James, Archibald, William, Catherine, Agnes, Elizabeth, Jean, Mary and Mary.  He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
