Helen Reid

Helen was born in 1850 in Newton-on-Ayr.^1 2   Helen's father was Archibald Reid and her mother was Catherine Cuthbert.  Her paternal grandparents were Adam Reid and Catharine Fulton. She had a brother and four sisters, named Adam, Catherine, Margaret, Mary and Agnes.  She was the second youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 71 in 1921 in Ayr.
