Margaret Marshall 
Margaret was born in 1839 in Shotts.1 Margaret's father was John Marshall and her mother was Mary Sommerville. Her paternal grandparents were James Marshall and Elizabeth Hamilton. She had two brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Mary, Elizabeth and Ann. She was the youngest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Richard, George, Gavin and Marion.
