Mary Marshall 
Mary was born in 1828 in Bathgate.1 Mary's father was John Marshall and her mother was Mary Sommerville. Her paternal grandparents were James Marshall and Elizabeth Hamilton. She had two brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Elizabeth, Ann and Margaret. She was the oldest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Richard, George, Gavin and Marion.
