Margaret's father was John Knox and her mother was Margaret Stevenson.  Her maternal grandparents were William Stevenson and Margaret Patrick. She had two sisters named Joan and Margaret.  Joan and Margaret were twins. She had a half-sister named Ann.  She died before 1842.
