Margaret was born on February 9th, 1817 in Kilsyth.1  Margaret's father was William Stevenson and her mother was Margaret Patrick.  Her maternal grandparents were David Patrick and Jean Simson. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, David, Joseph, Jean and Jean.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died due to heart disease at the age of 80 on July 19th, 1897 in Auchterarder.2
