Mason Hunter

Mason was born on August 27th, 1820 in Uphall and his baptism took place there on October 12th, 1820.¹

Mason's father was David Hunter and his mother was Alison Thomson. His maternal grandparents were Archibald Thomson and Alison Smeal. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Archibald, William, David, Andrew, James, Thomas, John and Alison. He was the second youngest of the nine children.
