Sarah's father was John Fraser and her mother was Sarah Templeton. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Fraser and Helen Hamilton. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, John, George, Maggie, Ellen, Bella and Agnes. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 80 on July 3rd, 1954 in Paisley. She was buried in Paisley.³³
