Catherine Rebecca was born on December 6th, 1835 in Jefferson County, WV.  Catherine Rebecca's father was Henry Snyder and her mother was Hester Lemen Marshall.  Her maternal grandparents were William Marshall and Mary C. Banes. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, William Marshall, Mary Ann, Elizabeth Jane and Susan Hester.  She was the fifth oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 67 on September 8th, 1903.
