James Kock-Kockquas was born in 1819.  James Kock-Kockquas' father was Mr head chief, a principal chief of the Turtle Tribe of the Delawares Ta-whe-la-la (Catch Me) Ketchum and his mother is Aunt Barbara (1/2 white).  His paternal grandparents were Ketchum and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Charles. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Lapahnihe (Big Bear), Queshatowha (John), Betsy  (Elizabeth) LENNI LENAPE -Delaware and Aukeelenqua (Nancy).  He died at the age of 77 in 1896.
