Peyton (Pate) Scott

Peyton, known as Pate, was born on January 24th, 1817 in Breckinridge Co., Kentucky.¹ Pate's father was Nicholas Scott and his mother was Mary (Polly) Pate. His paternal grandparents were James Scott and Anne Watts; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Allen Pate and Judith Pate. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Thomas, Minor, William, Judith, Anna, Nancy and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
