S. Lester Roberts 
S. Lester was born on April 13th, 1871 in Cleveland Co, NC. S. Lester's father was John Elgin Roberts and his mother was Mary Jane Ware. His paternal grandparents were John W. Roberts and Judith Clement. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Franklin, Zeb B. Vance, John Ellis, Georgeanna, Laura, Mary Elizabeth, Sudie and Ida Lee. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on March 9th, 1947 in Cleveland Co, NC. He was buried on March 12th, 1947 in Elizabeth Baptist Cemetery, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
