William Harvey PAYTON 
William Harvey was born on July 2nd, 1857 in Judson, Parke Co., Indiana.1 William Harvey's father was Thomas PAYTON and his mother was Martha Ann STOUT. His paternal grandparents were Anthony PAYTON and Margaret WALLINGFORD. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named James Anthony, George Washington, John A., Ora Whaley, James T., Omer Tilden, LaFollette, Mary Frances, Sarah Jane, Nancy Alice and Rhoda Ellen. He died at the age of 82 on April 24th, 1940 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Parke Co., Indiana.2 3 General Notes
