Catherine was born on March 9th, 1843 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Catherine's father was Benjamin HARGAN and her mother was Mary Catherine ARNOLD. Her paternal grandparents were Michael HARGAN and Elizabeth WALLINGFORD. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Alfred, William Arnold, Phillip, Benjamin Warren, Elizabeth, Mary, Lucy Ann and Rebecca Jane. She was the third youngest of the eleven children.General Notes
