William Alfred Grant 
William Alfred was born on October 25th, 1886 in Surry Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1930.1 William Alfred's father was Ulysses Simmons Grant and his mother was Lucinda Bullen. His paternal grandparents were Milton Powell Grant and Sara Elizabeth Simmons. He had a brother and three sisters, named Ernest Lenford, Maude Louvenia, Sarah Ellen and Dora Mae. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 78 on June 12th, 1965 in Leaksville, Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried on June 14th, 1965 in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Eden, Rockingham Co, NC.1 General Notes
