William Givens 
William was born about 1809. William's father was Thomas G. Givens and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Kerr. His maternal grandparents were James Kerr and Jane Robertson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Allen "Jack", James Kerr, Thompson, Thomas Kerr, Nathaniel Karr, Margaret, Elizabeth and Mary A.. He was the second youngest of the nine children.General Notes
