Martha was born before 1724 and her baptism took place on August 15th, 1724 in Silkstone, Yorkshire, England. Martha's father was George Senior (Hoylandswaine) and her mother was Ann Longley (of Cawthorne).  Her paternal grandparents were John Senior (of Silkston) and Martha Biltcliff. She had a brother and three sisters, named Geo., Eliz., Ann and Rebekah. She had two half-brothers named George and George.  She died on November 20th, 1730.
