Robert's baptism took place on August 23rd, 1747 in North Bradley.1  Robert's father was Robert Silverthorn and his mother was Sarah Rundel.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Rundel and Grace. He had a brother and six sisters, named John, Jane, Mary, Martha, Margaret, Anna and Mercy.
